Dukaan Saathi Privacy Policy.

This policy describes the current Dukaan Saathi Android application code in the Shop Partner repository. The app is a small-business recordkeeping tool for khata/udhaar, bills and invoices, stock, sales and expenses, customer orders, appointments and payment reminders. The currently documented version is designed to work locally on the device and does not offer user login or cloud synchronization.

1. Information you enter

Depending on the features you use, you may enter a shop name and owner name; customer names and phone numbers; credit/udhaar amounts, items, notes, purchase dates and promised payment dates; payments and balances; product names, SKUs, quantities, purchase costs, sale prices and low-stock thresholds; invoice details; sales and expense descriptions, amounts and dates; order details and status; and appointment customer names, service details, dates and status. These records may contain personal or financial information about your customers and business.

2. Local storage and cloud services

The current app saves its records in local WebView/browser storage on your device. The current repository documentation states that Firebase is not activated and the app does not currently upload these customer, khata, stock, invoice, order or appointment records to a cloud account or to a Total Creative Software server. There is no app sign-in account in the current version. These statements describe the reviewed repository; review the policy again if a later release adds cloud backup, synchronization, analytics or other online features.

Local data remains on the device until it is removed or the app's stored data is cleared. Anyone with access to an unlocked device or app profile may be able to view the records. Use a strong device screen lock and do not leave the app open where unauthorized people can access it.

3. Backups and imported files

The app provides a JSON export/import workflow. An exported backup can include the shop profile, customers, phone numbers, transaction notes, balances, inventory, invoices, sales/expenses, orders and appointments. The file is saved to a destination chosen by Android or the browser; anyone who obtains the file may be able to read its contents. Keep backups in a private location and delete old backup copies separately. Restoring a backup can replace the current local records after the app asks you to confirm.

4. Voice dictation

When you tap a Dictate button, the app asks the Android speech-recognition service or the browser's supported speech-recognition service to turn speech into text. Depending on your device, selected recognition provider and its settings, audio may be sent to that provider for transcription and an internet connection may be required. Total Creative Software does not operate that speech-recognition service and does not receive microphone audio through a Dukaan Saathi application server in the current implementation. The recognised text is shown in the form; it becomes part of your local records only when you save the entry. Review the transcript before saving.

5. Payment reminders and notifications

The Android build can schedule a local notification for a recorded due date. The notification may display a customer's name and amount due. It is scheduled on the device and is not an online message sent by our server. Android may ask permission before showing notifications; you can manage that permission in your device settings.

6. WhatsApp sharing

If you choose Send WhatsApp reminder, the app opens WhatsApp (or a compatible web destination) with a prefilled message and the customer phone number. The message may include the shop name, customer's name, outstanding balance and the most recent recorded due date. The app does not send the message automatically; you review and send it yourself. Once you open or send it, WhatsApp and any other selected service handle the information under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Advertising and third-party services

The reviewed Android source initializes Google Mobile Ads using Google's test banner ad unit. This is a test configuration, not confirmation that production advertising is enabled. If a distributed build is configured with production advertising, Google may process device/network information, advertising identifiers, ad requests, interactions and diagnostics under Google's terms and privacy policy. The app also relies on Android and any speech-recognition, WhatsApp, printing or file-sharing services you choose to use. We do not control the privacy practices of those separate providers. The current repository documents Firebase cloud services as not activated.

8. Retention and deletion

Because the current version stores business records locally and does not create an online user account, we do not have a cloud account database from this app to delete. Remove records using any available in-app controls. To remove all locally stored app records, use Android Settings to clear Dukaan Saathi's app storage/data or uninstall the app; this may permanently erase records that have not been exported. Delete JSON backups, printed files and any copies shared with other apps separately. WhatsApp messages already sent or stored by WhatsApp are not deleted by clearing Dukaan Saathi data.

9. Children's privacy

Dukaan Saathi is intended for shop owners and small-business users, not for children. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its integrations or its data practices change. The latest version will be published at this URL with a revised date. If cloud accounts, backups, production advertising, analytics or other data transfers are added, the policy and applicable store disclosures should be updated to match the released implementation.
