This Privacy Policy applies to MediStock for Android and the MediStock Windows desktop application, including related account and inventory services operated for the app. MediStock is intended for pharmacy and business inventory/POS workflows, not for maintaining patient medical records. Do not enter patient clinical or health information into the app unless you have independently confirmed that your use is lawful and appropriately protected.
1. Information we process
Depending on the features you use and your store configuration, MediStock may process information you or your organization enters, including account and staff details (such as name, login email, role and permissions); store and branch settings; product and medicine catalog details; SKU and barcode values; stock quantities, batches and expiry dates; supplier details and purchase invoices; sales, receipts, returns, prices, taxes, payment methods and amounts; customer or supplier balances; stock adjustments; cash movements; and reports generated from those records.
When you sign in, pair a desktop POS client, or use account-protected functions, the service also processes authentication and session information, device registration or pairing details, and security-related information needed to manage access. The Android camera permission is used when you choose to scan a barcode. The barcode value is used by the relevant inventory workflow; camera access is not intended for unrelated purposes.
Depending on hosting and server configuration, routine technical logs may also record basic request, network, error or security information to operate and protect the service.
2. How we use information
We process this information to sign users in; enforce roles and store/branch access; display and update inventory; record purchases, sales, returns and stock movements; produce receipts and reports; operate local checkout and supported synchronization; troubleshoot errors; protect accounts; prevent misuse; and provide support when requested.
3. Local storage and cloud synchronization
The Windows desktop edition is designed to maintain a local branch database for checkout and LAN POS operation, including during some internet interruptions. Depending on your setup, selected records and operations may be synchronized with the MediStock cloud/backend when a compatible connection is configured. The Android app connects to the MediStock service configured for your organization and stores authentication tokens using Android secure-storage facilities. Local databases, exported files and backups may remain on a computer or other storage location controlled by your organization.
Uninstalling an app may not delete every local database, export, log or backup. Deleting data from one device may also not remove copies already synchronized to a server, another device or a backup. Store administrators should manage local files and backups as well as making any cloud deletion request.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information may be available to authorized users within your store or organization according to assigned roles and permissions. Where needed to operate MediStock, information may be processed by hosting, database or infrastructure providers supporting the configured service. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse or security incidents.
Store owners and administrators are responsible for deciding which staff can access business records and for ensuring that any customer, employee, supplier or other information they enter is collected and used lawfully.
5. Payments and financial records
MediStock can record transaction amounts and payment methods used in a pharmacy's sales or cash-management workflows. The desktop and mobile applications are not described as a payment-card processor. Do not enter full payment-card numbers, card security codes or unrelated sensitive information into product, customer, supplier or notes fields.
6. Retention and deletion requests
Business and account information may be retained while needed to provide the service, maintain transaction history, support synchronization, protect service integrity, resolve disputes, or meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Retention can also depend on local databases and backups maintained by your organization.
For a request to access, correct or delete information held in a MediStock service, contact us using the address below and identify the relevant store/account. We may need to verify the requester is authorized. The store administrator may also need to remove local copies, exported records and backups. Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law.
7. Security
MediStock uses access controls and credential-protection mechanisms, including hashed server-side passwords and platform secure-storage facilities where available. Security also depends on the server's configuration, the network connection, device security, account permissions and the way the software is deployed. No software or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a protected device, strong unique credentials, restricted staff access and current backups.
8. Third-party services
MediStock relies on the hosting and database services selected for the configured backend. Downloading the Android app through Google Play or the Windows installer through our website is subject to the respective platform's own terms and privacy practices. If your organization configures MediStock to connect with additional services, those services may have separate privacy terms. This policy does not cover independent third-party services.
9. Children's privacy
MediStock is business software intended for pharmacy owners, staff and other authorized business users. It is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal information through the service.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when MediStock's features, infrastructure or data practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Review it periodically, particularly after major releases or backend changes.
